For many of us as parents, it may feel like we have lost our way, as the effects of the global Coronavirus pandemic disrupts life as we know it – the way we relate, do work, play and school. The times has created gaps as we try to figure out how to do work-from-home/ school-from-home and leisure-time-from home.
The challenge is compounded for those of us who are raising, teaching, or supporting children with disabilities and special needs and their families. There is an urgent need for support that is targeted, accessible, and practical that can help us despite the times to be the best parent we can be in a way that is intentional and joyful.

You will walk away empowered as a parent, equipped with a positive, practical, research-based approach to parenting your child with special needs.

The Summit is open to parents, families, caregivers, teachers, childcare workers, and other professionals who work with this community.

SUMMIT PROGRAM
The Summit is a virtual experience which will run daily from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST).
The core event will be Livestreamed. Days 1 to 3 of the Summit will consist of an opening keynote conversation and 3-30 minutes sessions. As well, a mini expo/experience lab will round out the experience, where attendees can view product(s), watch product demos, and ask questions of the exhibitor(s).
The Summit will culminate on Day 4 with theParent-Expert Roundtable. A conversation with parent-experts, professional experts, and everyday parents on the issues of parenting a child with special needs. The roundtable will highlight some of the key takeaways from the previous days’ sessions and provide a platform for you to ask questions specific to your context! It will facilitate a deeper exploration of how to apply the strategies, tools and techniques presented by the Summit. The Roundtable is also a celebration of International Day for Persons with Disabilities.
